12 Stones - 12 Stones
By Chelsea 2002

A melodic “Crash” starts off 12 Stones’ album with heavy guitars and vocals, setting the stage for the debut of the four young men who make up the band. The following songs are all excellently well rounded with guitars, drums and vocals melding to create one powerful sound. Standout tracks are "Broken," which has an amazing chorus and "The Way I Feel," which shows off the lyrical talent of the guys with emotional power coming through in not only the words, but also in the music itself:

Lately I've been wandering, off the narrow path.
You've given me so many things that I've never had
And all in all I know it's You that always pulls me though.
If you reach deep inside you'll see my heart is true.
'cause I hate the way I feel tonight and I know I need you in my life.
Yes, I hate the way I feel inside and I promise to make the sacrifice.

The band hails from Mandeville, Louisiana and has brought a sound to the ears of listeners that is smooth, yet hard edged, heavy, yet easy to sing along to. 12 Stones has a great debut, and it will stand as a strong foundation for future releases from the guys. They easily deserve the 5 stars, these guys are packed with explosive talent and potential.
